About Cecilia

art is central to my understanding of the world. for a long time, I was not safe. From foster care to university, my understanding of safety evolved with my living space and the people around me. I started my art journey to find joy while my university degrees deepened my traumas. what i spent my time and money on in my twenties is not at all what i want in my thirties.

As a Scoop survivor, I was inspired by finding my family. my Bachelor of Arts, Masters of Arts and seven years of Doctoral studies in Canadian History helped sort out who I am and where I came from. i started my education journey alone but I ended my time in Academia with my family names and a strong sense of self. the art you see here is a representation of health and stability.

My art is bright and sparkly like my personality. My art reflects my passion for the future. I share all proceeds with my family. Thank you so much for being Here.
